The Language Workshop for Children® at Accents on Fun offers French and Spanish language immersion programs for children.  We are excited to bring this gift of language to Southeastern North Carolina.  

Accents on Fun was created by Elizabeth and Steve DeBiasi to offer quality French and Spanish immersion programs for tots and children.  For over 36 years, the LWFC has taught foreign languages through structured play, songs, and other language-rich activities.  Utilizing the renowned Thibaut Technique®, a fun and effective method to teach foreign languages, your child will absorb a new language at that time when his or her mind is best suited to language development.  

After our daughter attended a one week, School Break immersion camp at The Language Workshop for Children® in New York City, we were convinced that not only was the Thibaut Technique® the right way to teach foreign language to children, but also that we needed to bring this program to Southeastern North Carolina. Through our research of French and Spanish language programs for children in the area, we found limited foreign language opportunities for infants, toddlers, preschool and elementary school children.  Given the challenging economic climate facing public and private schools, New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties will not likely be able to increase funding for foreign languages in the coming year.  That's why we decided to bring this program to toddlers and children in the Wilmington area.
